Cannabidiol (CBD)List Item 1
One of the main cannabinoids found in cannabis. CBD is known for its medicinal purposes. Unlike THC, it delivers no psychoactive effects.

CannabinoidList Item 2
The chemical compounds found in cannabis flowers. The two main cannabinoids are tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD).

CannabisList Item 3
A flowering plant made up of three common subspecies: cannabis indica, cannabis sativa, and cannabis ruderalis.

ConcentratesList Item 4
Extracts created through the use of a solvent to dissolve the resinous cannabinoids. They have a greater proportion of cannabinoids and terpenes than cannabis flowers. Cannabis concentrates can be found in many forms.

Flower
The smokable, trichome-covered bud of a female cannabis plant. It is often sold as loose flower (“nugs”) or as pre-rolled joints.

EdibleList Item 1
A food infused with cannabinoids. Because they are ingested rather than inhaled, cannabinoids take longer to enter the bloodstream, resulting in a delayed onset of effects. Their effects can also last longer, upwards of 4-6 hours.

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)List Item 2
The most well-known cannabinoid, THC is responsible for the psychoactive effects of cannabis (the “high”).

TerpenesList Item 3
Organic compounds found in the trichomes that provide the aroma and flavor of the cannabis plant.

TrichomeList Item 4
A crystal-like resin gland found on cannabis flowers that holds all the cannabinoids and terpenes. Plants with more trichomes (“crystals”) are more potent.

A genetic variant of cannabis, typically a hybrid of the most common cannabis varieties, Cannabis Sativa and Cannabis Indica.
