On this day, five years ago, Missouri made its first-ever legal cannabis sale, right here at what was then N’Bliss and is now Proper Cannabis.

Today, we celebrate that moment—when Missouri officially joined the ranks of states embracing cannabis as a legitimate industry, medicine, and community cornerstone. It marked the beginning of a new era for patients, cultivators, and advocates who had fought for years to see the plant recognized for its healing potential and cultural significance.

Since that inaugural sale, so much has changed. The space that once symbolized “first” has evolved into something even more meaningful: a home for quality, innovation, and care. And while the name on the door has changed, the mission behind it has only grown stronger—to cultivate better lives through cannabis, from seed to experience.
